I feel that the lay-out of a web-page needs to be informative and esthetically pleasing to the eye of the viewers. If the web design can catch even one interested person, whether the web-page is informational or shopping, the creator has benefitted from their web-page. A web design that is not helpful or an eye sore is going to send people to another site, and the creator will not gain a potential educator or customer.
