After reflection and review of this weeks chat and individual homework I am more open to the idea of using a wiki and/or ning in my classroom. The wiki would be more of a home webpage for my classes, that students & parents can visit to find information regarding the class, homework, upcoming quizzes and test, etc. At some point during the semester (when the wiki was finished) I would like to have students then become apart of the "upkeeping" of the wiki. The ning I would use in regard to having students keeping a journal about the class. At times students would be required to answer/give their thoughts on a specific question (given by teacher), then reflect and comment on other students. Although in theory this sounds nice and something I would like to try I understand that having students comment on each others perceived thoughts is a treacherous territory. Overall each weeks seems to add some more insight in areas of the internet and collaboration that I would like to bring into my classroom. Finally, I believe I would use Flicker more for personal use than school, again not sure.

Both great ideas - and wha a way to have the students feel that they are involved in their learning.
